About the Owner
Jack Tolzmann has been a passionate comic book collector for 20 years, and alongside that time and deep passion came an equally deep knowledge of the genre. Ask him about questions regarding lore, plots, favorited characters, and even the history of comic books from when they first came out up to today’s hype. Not only does this include mainstream and big names, but also extends to more esoteric books and questions you might have.
Along with his expertise in comic books (and wide knowledge of manga and collectables, as well!) he graduated with a B.A. in Business and has a background as a performing tour guide in Downtown St. Augustine, allowing him to confidently run the shop while still being one of the most personable shop owners you’ll ever meet!
Truly, owning a comic book store–not to mention the premiere one in nonother than Saint Augustine, Florida–is a dream come true. It’s worth it to come down not only to see the wares in stock at any given time, but to trade with a knowledgeable fellow nerd, have a talk, and possibly learn more about what it is you’re passionate about as well in this nerdy world we’re all welcomed in!
About the Store
Originally named All Books and Comics, the store was brought to life by Vanessa as a used book store in 1986. When comics started to become much more mainstream in the 90’s, she broadened her selection from used books into including comic books as well.
By 2022, Vanessa was ready to retire, and so she put the store up for sale. Jack jumped on it, and soon was the new owner of All Books and Comics!
Now rebranding the store to make it his own as Jack’s Comics and More! goals are set in place to broaden the comic section of the store (of which has already had great progress made!) and to include an even bigger variety of collectables and hobbies. There’s already a D&D one-shot written by a local author in stock, with more to come!
